House rules in the Grote Kerk Breda
The Grote Kerk Breda would like to introduce everyone to the collection and the special stories in and about the Grote Kerk Breda. In so doing, we ask for respect for the building, the collection and for each other.
- Respect for historical heritage: that certainly applies to this church. Keep your eyes open and behave respectfully.
- Pets are not allowed inside the church. Assistance dogs are an exception and are welcome when clearly identified and leashed to a harness.
- Children are welcome. Parents/guardians must ensure that children behave well in the church.
- Group visits? Absolutely! However, on condition that teachers/guardians ensure that group members behave respectfully in the church.
- Have you bought a ticket in advance but can't come? Up to 24 hours before the activity starts, you will be refunded.
- Make sure you keep pre-purchased tickets safe and secure. In case of theft or loss, you will not receive a refund.
House rules in the tower
- Would you like to climb the tower? Then a guide from Gilde de Baronie will always accompany you. Follow the guide's instructions carefully.
- The tower has narrow (door) openings and 287 steps. There is no lift. So sign up only if you can physically manage the climb.
- The maximum group size for climbing the tower is 16 people.
- Only children of 12 years or older are allowed in the tower. This is due to the safety protocol in the tower, we cannot make any exceptions.
- Have you signed up to climb the tower? Then make sure you are at the church entrance 10 minutes before the start. And put your phone on silent in advance.
- Throwing items down from the tower is life-threatening. So please don't do this.
- Pets and assistance dogs are not allowed in the tower.
- If the guide sees fit, then he or she may refuse participants to climb the tower.
- If you break or damage something in the tower, then you will be held liable for it.
