The Grote Kerk Breda is a dynamic platform for art and culture and a social meeting place that has a lot to offer anyone who feels the need to connect, seeks wonder or is enthusiastic about innovation.
We compile the programming together with a broad network of partners, contemporary creators, entrepreneurs, education and social organisations. In this way, we collect and tell stories that are relatable to different audiences, regardless of their age, origin, background or religion. These stories are there for everyone.

BredaPhoto
BredaPhoto is more than a biennial festival, showing stories that inspire, move, confront, raise new questions and prove that photography is an artistic medium at the heart of society.
BredaPhoto and Grote Kerk Breda join forces every two years, co-producing an exhibition in and about the church during the city-wide festival.

TURF
TURF is a city-wide event in the heart of Breda, focusing on electronic music, art, culture and tech with the aim of creating a platform where technology and creativity meet and strengthen each other. The event contributes to the city's ambition to establish itself as an international hotspot for applied technology and art.
During TURF, you will visit the church to hear talks, live performances and art installations that unlock and reinforce the principles of both the event and the Grote Kerk Breda.

Art UnOrganized
For programming and playing the Hillen organ, the Grote Kerk Breda cooperates with Art Unorganized. This foundation aims to promote the revival of the organ and strengthen the position of organ music in Dutch musical culture. Art Unorganized ensures that the organ repertoire of classical music and modern classics can continue to be performed.

Gilde de Baronie
The volunteer city guides of Gilde de Baronie offer a wide range of activities that bring to life the rich history of the Grote Kerk Breda, among others.
These include various guided tours and climbing the tower of the Grote Kerk Breda. The city guides enthusiastically share their knowledge about the church and its past, telling age-old stories in an accessible way.

Topmonumenten Brabant
TopMonumenten Brabant is a platform that seeks to showcase the four most important monuments in our province. Besides the Grote Kerk Breda, these are the Sint-Jan in Den Bosch, Markiezenhof in Bergen op Zoom and Kasteel Heeswijk in Heeswijk-Dinther.

The Grootste Museum van Nederland
The Grootste Museum van Nederland brings together the Netherlands' most beautiful places of worship as a single museum. The beauty of Dutch churches, synagogues, temples and mosques in The Grootste Museum van Nederland is accessible to all.

Protestant Community of Breda
The church was Catholic until 1637, when it was called Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekerk. After the iconoclasm and the 80-year war, the church came into the hands of the Protestant Community of Breda. That is also when its name changed to Grote Kerk Breda.
Since 1978, the secular Stichting Grote Kerk Breda has been responsible for the restoration, maintenance and exploitation of the national monument.
