Wishful Singing and VOCES8 Scholars join forces and together bring the finest gems of Gregorian chant into the limelight. Discover the magic of Gregorian chant at our Gregorian Treasures concerts. Enjoy an immersive experience in which the singers move freely through the space. As a visitor, you are thus submerged in a bath of sound, so to speak.
Experience the meditative beauty of Gregorian chant
Combining the male voices of the VOCES8 Scholars with the female voices of Wishful Singing creates a varied programme that reveals all the colours of Gregorian chant.
The programme consists of both a well-known and unknown Gregorian repertoire, performed according to the original medieval manuscripts. In addition, more modern works inspired by Gregorian chant will be included, such as Ubi Caritas and Tota pulchra es, Maria by Maurice Duruflé and Ave Generosa by Ola Gjeilo.
Route and parking
Coming by train? The Grote Kerk Breda is a 10-minute walk from Breda railway station. The church is also easily accessible by bus. You can walk to us in a few minutes from the Karnemelkstraat or Vlaszak bus stops.
Coming by bike or moped? Then park in one of the free bicycle parking facilities. Improperly parked bicycles are regularly removed by the municipality.
Coming by car? The car parks De Prins and De Barones are closest to the Grote Kerk Breda. Click here for general information on parking in Breda.
