On Saturday 21 September, 5 October, 19 October and 2 November from 9 to 9.45 AM, attention, self-reflection, and openness are central to this unique Zen meditation sessions which are organized in cooperation with zen.nl. This special activity invites you to look deeper and ask yourself, "What does this work say about me?"
Develop an open mind and practice meditative viewing, where art and self-discovery come together. Experience how the serene environment of the Grote Kerk Breda helps you to reflect and gain new insights. Be inspired and open your mind during this mindfulness exercise. Join us and experience art in a completely new way.
No prior meditation experience is required.

In co-production with BredaPhoto, the Grote Kerk Breda presents the 'site specific' solo exhibition Encounters | Encontros by the artist Rosângela Rennó from 13 September up and until 3 November.
The installation on this picture, Resistance of Breda of Las Lápidas (2024) is at the centre of the solo exhibition. Engaging with the church's monumental interior, Rennó draws attention to the little-known, interconnected history of Brazil and the Netherlands in a series of multimedia installations which include image archives, photography, video and text.
