Admire the colourful frescoes, the splendour of bygone days and the tombs of important families from Breda and Dutch history. Marvel at the impressive organ and the unique Prinsenkapel. Women in focus
Did you know that women in particular have had a great influence on the origins of this church and on the city of Breda? The church was originally even named after a woman: Maria. She was cancelled and then reinstated. The inspired, influential women of the Nassau family and the other 'founding mothers' of the Grote Kerk Breda brought titles and wealth. They fought against poverty and dedicated themselves to art and culture. The stories of these women have long been neglected. Now we tell you all about them.

- Each tour leads you through the monument with a different emphasis on the church - always from a contemporary viewpoint
- The tours do not all follow the same route, you will visit different locations on each tour
- You can do the tours by yourself or in the company of others
- You can set the pace of the tour yourself by browsing through it faster, skipping information or going back to see something again
- You can read the tours or listen to AI-generated voices. This gives you plenty of time to look around at your leisure
- There is (free) Wi-Fi in the church
