Volunteers
It is possible to support the church with money, but also with commitment. After all, a visit to the Grote Kerk Breda would not be the same without the commitment, knowledge and ability of its volunteers. They contribute to the House of Stories and to the icon of the city of Breda.

Become a volunteer? Do it!
No two days at the church are the same because of the varied, dynamic programme and its (international) visitors. You gain new experiences, are valued for the knowledge and experience you bring to the team and can participate in various courses, such as obtaining the First Aid certificate. Of course, we take your wishes, talents and availability into account – and you can regularly attend the events at the church free of charge, if you like.
Furthermore, becoming a volunteer is a great way to expand your social network: for example, we regularly organise enjoyable team drinks. Of course, we provide good supervision and an induction programme, and our volunteers receive the maximum volunteer remuneration.

Operations Volunteers
Those who make the church look its best every day for its visitors:
- Will you literally make the church shine? You will soon get to know every nook and cranny of the church, take a walk around before it opens and make sure all the display cases and glass doors are gleaming.
- Want to see where the clapper hangs? You will get into all the hidden places of the church, climb the tower to its highest point and make sure everything is safe and in good condition.
- During events, you will be the one to keep an eye on things in the church. You will greet visitors in a welcoming manner and ensure that everything runs smoothly.
Events Volunteers
The indispensable workers for setting up all events in the church:
- Have you always wanted to take a look behind the scenes of an event? You are someone who loves building and carrying.
- With the team, you will build a stage, set up chairs or install the light and sound equipment.
